What to Expect

Whether you've lost a loved one, survived a trauma, are struggling to cope with the demands of day-to-day life, or just want to process your thoughts and feelings, counseling is for you. This is true if you are a working professional, student, parent, musician, or anywhere in-between. The benefits of counseling are for everyone.

If you still have more questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are happy to help you determine which therapist or type of counseling is a good fit for you, whether that’s with us or another provider in the community.

Frequently Asked Questions

We recommend attending weekly for the first 6-8 weeks while you are building a relationship with your therapist and working to establish goals for therapy. Once you are comfortable, you and your therapist can decide if spacing out every other week will allow you to still meet clinical goals. Some trauma therapies like EMDR recommend meeting weekly while in active processing. We only recommend meeting monthly if you are in the maintenance stage of your therapy process.
